For tourists residing in other states of Brazil or out of the country, the most viable option is to arrive via the capital’s airport – Luis Eduardo Magalhaes International Airport.  It is roughly a 50 minute trip from the aiport to Rua Direita de Santo Antonio where Solar do Carmo is located.

A good part of the route taken to the hotel is through Avenida Luiz Viana Filho, known famously as the Paralela, which crosses a great portion of Salvador.  Although there is a considerable flux of cars, the avenue is ample, and with the exception of rush hours, it does not get congested with ease.
